The ultimate goal is to see children rescued and restored with their biological families through extensive intervention, training and support.
The devastating reality is that within this culture reunification with biological families is rarely the healthiest option for these children. When this reunion is not the most viable option, Go Love intervenes by welcoming the child into our family-structured care.
Through our exposure to orphan care in this culture, we have observed three specific needs that these children crave and desire. Go Love is passionate about providing these three pillars within our care.
Go Love is passionate about placing these children in a family-styled home that invests in them relationally. Our team at Go Love will focus on teaching basic life skills, creating family traditions, and building trust in each child by giving them the love of a family as they have never experienced before. Each child will receive discipleship through biblical teaching, be exposed to a healthy marriage and family connectivity. Our desire is for these children to observe caregivers leading with love, within their home. It is through this structure that we believe these children will be better equipped and have the opportunity to break the cycles of distortion and dysfunction within their families and communities.
When a child is brought into our care, they will be assessed academically and psychologically by a team of social workers, teachers, and psychologists. Our team will create an individualized growth plan, based on the child’s specific needs, trauma, dreams, desires, and the feedback from their evaluations. Each child will then receive holistic (educational, social, spiritual, and psychological) interventions based on their specific needs and growth plan. Every child in our care will receive daily tutoring in addition to a private school education. They will receive counseling on a weekly basis and have opportunity to take music lessons, art classes, play sports, and learn English.
Most importantly, Go Love is devoted to ensuring that each child within our care experiences the love and joy of Jesus. These children have been living in survival mode with nothing until being welcomed into our care. As a result of these conditions, they crave love, attention and relationships. At Go Love, we want them to feel like kids again. Through the trust and hope that is found through a relationship with Jesus, we desire for them to be able to LIVE, LAUGH and PLAY! The Go Love team will always be intentional about bringing LIFE and JOY into the home through things such as weekly movie nights, special dinners, weekly activities when the Go Love family comes together to create memories! Through these activities and traditions, we believe that these children will thrive and know they are loved. We believe that solid relationships will be formed. We believe that an environment of trust and hope will be cultivated which is what these children have so desperately longed for within a family.
