Our Story

Hi there! We are Caroline and Nick. We are so thrilled that you stumbled upon this page as it holds a story that is near and dear to our hearts and helps us paint the picture for how we got where we are today and the vision behind Go Love.

How it all began

What is YOUR passion– that one thing that sets your soul on fire?

You know, that one thing that gets you out of the bed each morning… that one thing that you catch yourself daydreaming about… that one thing that you would pay any price or give any sacrifice for? Go Love is that “one thing” to us… a passion and a calling that wrecks us to our core. Go Love was a crazy faith vision that is now becoming a reality.

The heart behind Go Love began many years ago. After Caroline’s initial trip to Peru to serve abandoned boys in 2014, she was forever changed. It left her with a longing to pursue this place, year after year. As Caroline returned numerous times to Peru, began organizing and leading teams (several of which Nick was a part of)… little did we know, serving together in 2018 at a home for abandoned boys is where our story began. The beauty of our story is that neither of us would have chosen it at the time. But man, we are thankful that God continued writing it for our good and His glory. As Nick was working a corporate job in Fort Mill, South Carolina and Caroline was living in Peru full time, The Lord began revealing to each of us simultaneously that there was more to this relationship than either of us realized. After several months of pursuing one another unconventionally, across seas, and a pandemic that resulted in Caroline temporarily being state-side… God gave us clarity that we are meant to do life together. What we know now as a married couple, is that as God weaved our stories together, the passion that we share for this place and the burden for this mission, is something that God has been nurturing in both of us all along. We have been wrecked to the core by the orphan crisis, specifically in Iquitos, Peru which leaves us with a passion and a calling to love these children well.

What does that look like? You might ask. God called us to start Go Love with the sole purpose of bringing Him glory and loving abandoned children.

The name Go Love was chosen because we believe these are the two greatest commands in the Bible. Scripture tells us to GO into all nations (Matthew 28:19) and LOVE others (John 15:12). Our passion is to GO LOVE abandoned children. We challenge you to think about YOUR passion. How could you GO LOVE today?

We pray that this is a platform for the power of Jesus to be seen and that there would be a whole lot of love shared along the way.
